Position
Worship Leader for a blended worship service.
Time Requirement
This position is a part-time, hourly, at will position starting at approximately 8-10 hours a week.
The following time commitments are expected:
1-2 hour meeting with pastor for worship planning and discussion
1-2 hours of rehearsal with Worship Team during the week
2 hours of rehearsal and service on Sunday morning including instrumental
accompaniment
2 hours of worship preparation each week including technical set-up
1 hour monthly to lead music during children’s events
Qualifications
A college degree or post high school education in ministry or music preferred. Those with equivalent experience are encouraged to apply. Instrumental skill to accompany and lead a variety of musical styles from piano/keyboard is necessary, vocal skills are a plus. Must be able to work independently with initiative. Should be approachable and welcoming and able to recruit, manage and encourage a team of volunteers. Must have effective communication skills to work with staff, volunteers and other
congregants. Should consider the vision, values and beliefs of the church to ensure a fulfilling faith life as part of Arbor Covenant Church
Accountabilities
Connect with existing Worship Team to assess, improve and encourage current worship service. Recruit volunteers for worship opportunities. Work with the pastor and other lay leaders to plan and execute creative, fulfilling worship
services. Plan music and conduct weekly rehearsals for Sunday worship. Prepare audio/visual equipment for each service.
Compensation
· $25/hour

About Arbor Covenant
Arbor Covenant is a member congregation of the Evangelical Covenant Church located in south
Madison, near the belt line off of Todd Drive.
Sunday morning worship attendance generally ranges between 35-50. We aspire to create opportunities for for all our members and friends to express their gifts, accordingly weekly worship stresses participation over performance and interaction over production. We typically blend genres of music, prioritizing substance over style.
